About Us

Force Management Systems was formed from a relationship between Pistolcraft, Inc. and DOCS Gym to provide training and education in the areas of practical self-defense, conflict avoidance, awareness, and more. Our course Threat Assessment & Avoidance and the Use of Force for Public Safety Personnel, taught in the Minnesota College and university system, met with rave reviews from students, and has been requested to be added to the regular curriculum.

Greg has been training in the martial arts since 1978, and as a Chiropractor specializes in sports medicine, especially martial arts. His extensive knowledge of physiology and comabt skills derived from the study of many different disciplines allows Greg to understand self-defense in ways that very few trainers can claim.

Steve has been studying self defense and martial arts for many years, and has been studying and teaching the laws on the use of force since the mid ‘90’s, and is also a court-approved expert witness.

Steve is Founder and President of Pistolcraft, Inc. One of Minnesota’s most highly regarded firearms instruction firms. Pistolcraft’s clients have included Civilians, EMS personnel, Law Enforcement, Legal professionals from attorneys to Judges, and the military.

Steve is also a licensed Emergency Medical Technician, and has been volunteering as an EMT since 1997; this real world experience is invaluable in teaching the realities of self-defense as it allows a greater understanding of the limitations and impact of various self defense methods on the human body.
